Last-Modified in headers

Hello,
I have static site.
Is there any simple way to show current time in Last-Modified or maybe remove this at all from headers?
What source files must be edited?
My assumption is that it is better to not show Last-Modified on static blog or any other site with dated posts.
Each generation of new version is creating new dates for those files. And they are not correspond with dates of posts.
Of course, may be it doesn't matter at all for google but most sites are dynamic.
