Future project: Reimplementation in Rust?

Hello Hugo!

I really like your web server because it's a lightweight software that just works. Also, I like the philosophy of "Do one thing and do it well" what absolutely is what Hiawatha does.
Thanks you for your work!

However, I have a question:
Do you consider rewriting the Hiawatha web server in Rust ( in future? Just curious because it really would fit together I think. Rust is being said to be great language when security, memory safety and correctness matters.

Anyway, all the best!

Thanks for your feedback. Good to hear you like Hiawatha.

I have no plans in rewriting Hiawatha in any other language. The security of an application is not defined by the programming language used, but very much by how well the developer knows the programming language he uses (and of course how well the developer has knowledge about security). An expert C developer can make an application no more or less secure than an expert .NET, Java, Rust or any other developer.
