Mac OS X leopard fails

Hiawatha version: 7.3
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5.8
macbook laptop, Intel Core 2 Duo

I just installed hiawatha for the first time, and see the following message:

root# hiawatha
dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022
Trace/BPT trap

There appears to be a solution here:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1440456/static-libraries-in-version-cross-compiled-program

which implies the Mac package may have been built for OS X 10.6 rather than 10.5. The replies include several compile flags to add to the build.

Meanwhile, I will try compiling from source.
Thank you!

I'll take a look at it. Thanks for reporting. In the meantime you can indeed use the compiler. It should work just fine under MacOS X.
