Mac OS X 10.5 Installation Problems

The Mac OS X installation does not work because the name of the root file directory trying to be created during installation already exists somewhere else in the system and will not be created(just telling the error message). Also, it requires access to the root directory of the hard drive which the OS heavily protects (incorrect method of writing may be denied).

Do you know what directory is causing the problem?

About writing to the root directory: Hiawatha will be installed in /usr/sbin. You indeed need Administrator rights to install it. You also need Administrator rights to run Hiawatha.
